i do this regularly
This is HUGE.NO TWEET TILL BROOKLYN A bird seen on Coney Island on Sunday appeared to be a gray-hooded gull, a rare species in North America: only one confirmed sighting — in Florida in 1998 — has ever been accepted by the American Birding Association. I’m okay with this.
KC is Chewbacca and Chewbacca is by itself because KC needed to go in the corner.
Yep, this happened. Then I stayed up to watch the weirdest movie ever (A Scanner Darkly) with Jon and Zach… Amy it is CRAZY
STAR WARS PANCAKES!
So, for my birthday one of my favorite presents was STAR WARS COOKING MATERIALS! Well, to be specific pancake molds of Yoda, Darth Vader, and a Stormtrooper and a Darth Vader and Stormtrooper spatula. We made them up in Vermont so we used organic pancake mix with flax seeds and lots of yummy stuff. And of COURSE topped it off with maple syrup! It was delicious and I can’t wait to make more of them!
I’ve decided I want to be 125lb by halloween just so I can be something skanky. I don’t know what that will be yet, but I want to show my stomach to the world for the first time (besides beaches/pools etc).
I have really good goals.

Haha!! Maybe if by “tawny,” he meant “the color of iron ore….”
It probably didnt want to have to carry the mongoose away :) MORE PICTURES, she demands!
AHH that’s so awesome!! This guy in another car told me it was a tawny eagle, and my guide couldn’t see it because it was on the wrong side of the road, but then I was really confused because when I looked up tawny eagle, it didn’t look like this one because of the contrast in color! EPIC. l I didn’t see it flying. We got pretty close though, it seemed reluctant to move/fly, it kind of just hopped slightly away.

HOLY CRAP CHER this is a martial eagle!!! Wow i am SO JEALOUS. It is the largest, and thus coolest, eagle of africa. We have one, named Dillon, hence my incredible excitement!! Also, if that is really a banded mongoose (I’ll take your word for it) then this is quite an amazing photo op that should probably immediately be submitted to YourShot. How close were you?! WOW. WOW. WOW. And it does look somewhat similar to the tawny eagle, but the Martial Eagle is really notable for its distinct contrast in very dark upper parts and white (potentially flecked, as above) lower. Did you happen to see it in flight or in any other poses? It has a really distinctive crown of 4-5 sticking up feathers on its head.
I think this is a tawny eagle? It’s standing on a banded mongoose that it’s either just killed or is in the process of killing, I know you can’t see it very well though.
